63-64 Disk Conversion – Bump Stop Mod


To install disk brakes on a 63-64 whether it being factory style control arms or our full coilover kit, you’ll have to cut and modify the bump stop bracket to clear the new disk brake caliper. 

Cut factory drum bump stop bracket flush with the out side of the frame rail.
Factory bump stop reversed to modify for new fitment
Mark the stop of the bump stop for your cut line.
Modified/cut bump stop
Insert in the factory hole with just enough room for an open end wrench
Make sure you painted all your cut surfaces for rust prevention. Otherwise you are now ready to install disk brake t-arms.
